Located on one of the most beautiful crossings in the valley is Cliff Lede Vineyards. This is an under-the-radar winery with some of the most reasonably-priced, award-winning Napa Valley Cabernets on the market.
This winery produces Cabernets that should be at the top of everybody’s list of California’s best. The winery just seems to have a low-key vibe; they don’t brag about what they are doing, they leave that to their loyal following and the wine critics.
What they make are beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon blends that are elegant, well-balanced, and age worthy. A minuscule number of white wines are available for guests visiting the tasting room and they are also excellent.
The tasting room at Cliff Lede is literally steps away from their wonderful sculpture garden and art gallery, which is open daily. The gallery was hosting a collection of large-scale paintings by a local artist when we visited; the exhibits change four times a year. The tasting room consultants are gracious and knowledgeable and fully engaged.
